Wedding & Event
Planning Services

Lifestyle Maven Events provides thoughtful, highly personalized planning and design for weddings, multi-day celebrations, galas and special events throughout Hawaii, New York and select destinations beyond.
From full-service wedding planning and design to partial planning, multi-day wedding weekends and large-scale events, we bring together the people, details, logistics and creative direction needed to create a seamless experience from beginning to end.
Our approach is collaborative and hands-on, giving our clients an experienced partner throughout the planning process while creating an event that still feels personal, distinctive and entirely their own.

Our Client-Centered
 Planning and Design Process

For our clients, a successful event is about much more than the details simply going according to plan.

They are looking for a trusted partner who can understand their ideas, help shape the overall vision, and manage the many creative and logistical pieces required to bring it all together.

We work closely with our clients throughout the process, from the first conversations about budget and venue possibilities through vendor curation, design, timelines and final event execution.
Whether we are planning a wedding weekend in Hawaii, a celebration in New York, a gala, or an event in another destination, our role is to create an experience that feels thoughtful, organized and completely personal to the people we are planning it for.

HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

Partial Planning

Partial Planning is designed for couples and clients who have already started planning and have some of the major pieces in place, but want an experienced planner to step in, provide direction, fill in the gaps and take the process through the finish line.

Depending on where you are in the planning process, Partial Planning can include:
• Vendor recommendations and coordination for key partners
• Budget oversight and decision support
• Design, layout, and wedding direction guidance
• Rental and logistical planning
• Master timeline development
• Reception floor plan creation
• Ongoing planning meetings and check-ins
• Final vendor coordination
• Rehearsal coordination
• Wedding day management with our on-site team

The biggest difference between Full Service and Partial Planning is how early and how deeply we become involved.
With Full Service, we help create and manage the event from its earliest stages, including the venue, complete vendor team, budget and design.
With Partial Planning, you have already completed some of that work, and we step in to bring greater organization, expertise and support to what you have started.

Multi-Day Weddings & Wedding Weekends

Wedding weekends are truly one of our specialties, with nearly 75% of the weddings we plan unfolding over multiple days.
We love the pace a wedding weekend allows and the sense of connection that naturally develops when everyone has more than just a few hours together.
Two different groups of loved ones often arrive from different places, cultures and chapters of your lives, and by the end of the weekend they leave feeling like one much closer group.

We can help plan and manage:
  • Welcome dinners and parties
  • Rehearsal dinners
  • Cultural ceremonies and celebrations
  • Guest excursions and activities
  • Wedding day events
  • Farewell brunches
  • Transportation between events
  • Multiple venues
  • Multiple vendor teams
  • Guest experience and weekend logistics

Rather than treating each event as something separate, we look at the entire weekend as one complete experience and consider how the schedule, transportation, guest flow and overall atmosphere work together.

Galas, Nonprofit & Special Events

In addition to weddings, Lifestyle Maven Events plans galas, nonprofit events, fundraising dinners, private celebrations and select corporate and brand events.
From large fundraising events to intimate benefit gatherings and milestone celebrations, we help organizations and private clients create events that are polished, immersive and reflective of their purpose.

Services can include:
  • Event concept development and creative direction
  • Venue research and selection
  • Vendor sourcing and management
  • Budget oversight
  • Guest logistics
  • Floor plans and event flow
  • Rentals and production coordination
  • Detailed event timelines
  • On-site event direction and management

Every event is different, so services are customized around the scope, priorities and level of support required.

What We Specialize In

Most of our wedding clients are planning from somewhere other than the destination where they will ultimately celebrate.
We regularly work with couples across the country and around the world, helping them navigate venue selection, travel logistics, vendor teams, guest experience and the additional considerations that come with planning from thousands of miles away.
Our goal is to give you a trusted planning partner on the ground while making the process feel collaborative no matter where you live.

Destination Weddings

Multicultural weddings have always been a natural part of what we do, with nearly 90% of our celebrations bringing together different cultures, backgrounds and traditions.
We love finding meaningful ways to incorporate the elements that matter most to each couple, whether that includes multiple ceremonies, distinct traditions, food, music, attire or entirely different events throughout the wedding weekend.
There is no formula for how two cultures should come together. We take the time to understand what is meaningful to you and your loved ones, then help create a celebration where each tradition has its place while the event as a whole still feels completely and uniquely yours.

Multicultural Weddings

Nearly 75% of the weddings we plan unfold over multiple days.
From welcome gatherings and cultural ceremonies to the wedding itself, excursions and farewell events, we approach the weekend as one complete guest experience rather than a series of disconnected events.
We manage the logistical details behind the scenes so our clients and their guests have the space to actually enjoy this rare opportunity to be together.

Multi-Day Wedding Weekends

We have never believed that every wedding or event should follow the same format.
Our work has taken place at resorts, private estates, ranches, raw spaces, historic venues and unconventional locations that sometimes require us to build the experience from the ground up.
Rather than fitting your event into a predetermined package, we consider your priorities, guest list, budget, design preferences, accessibility, cultural traditions and overall experience before recommending the right venue and planning approach.

Unique Venues & Personalized Events

How it works.

What does our planning process look like?

1.

Client Intensives

Once you book with us, the real planning begins.
We provide a planning portal with curated tips, information and templates that we use throughout the process.
Our first few meetings are what we call our Client Intensives. This is where we dive into your vision, priorities, needs and budget so we can begin building the framework for your wedding or event.
From there, we begin carefully curating venue and vendor options and creating the organizational tools that will guide the planning process.

2.

Vendor Curation & Design

Once the venue is secured, we begin building the team and creative direction around it.
We have in-depth conversations about vendor preferences, guest experience, design elements and the overall feeling you want the event to have.
We create floor plans, timelines and design materials while taking the lead on vendor communication and meetings so all of the individual pieces continue moving toward one cohesive event.

3.

Final Planning & Event Management

During the final stages of planning, we manage walkthroughs, tastings, vendor meetings, final logistics and detailed timelines to prepare every team involved.
After months of preparation, Alison leads the on-site planning team to manage the event, vendors and logistics from behind the scenes.
Our goal is simple: you should feel like the most well-taken-care-of guest at your own wedding or event.

Where We Plan

For the right event, we are always open to going somewhere new.
Lifestyle Maven Events has experience planning celebrations beyond Hawaii and New York and considers select destination weddings and events throughout the United States and internationally.

Destinations Beyond

Our experience began in New York, where Alison spent nearly a decade planning weddings and events before relocating to Hawaii.
We continue to work with select New York clients and bring the same personalized, logistics-focused planning approach to celebrations throughout the city and surrounding areas.

New York

Based on Oahu, Lifestyle Maven Events plans destination weddings and events throughout the Hawaiian Islands.
Each island offers a completely different venue landscape and guest experience, and we help our clients determine which setting makes the most sense for their celebration before navigating the venues, vendors and logistics required to bring it together.

Hawaii

Planning Investment

Because every wedding and event has different needs, our services are custom quoted based on the scope of the celebration.
For full-service weddings, we generally recommend an overall wedding budget beginning around $750–$1,000 per guest, excluding planning fees.

Planning fees and event budgets vary based on:
  • Location
  • Guest count
  • Number of events
  • Planning scope
  • Design scope
  • Venue
  • Travel requirements
  • Logistical complexity

Not sure which service is the right fit? Schedule a consultation and we can talk through what you're planning.

"Alison was incredibly patient with me, our crazy families, and the many traditions we wanted to incorporate from both of our cultures (India and Australia). Perhaps most importantly, she was the diplomatic, professional, and always positive liaison I needed between myself and all the other vendors." - Upsana

"Alison offered a menu of options at different price points for everything. In each category where we cared, we found an option we really loved. And where we didn't care as much, Alison had a strong enough read on our taste to guide us to a sensible choice." - Jeffrey
