Justine and Janan always imagined that their wedding would take place in a venue filled with historical details and drama like their favorite castles of Europe.
We had the privilege of introducing them to their dream venue, Hempstead House at Sands Point Preserve overlooking the Long Island Sound. This gorgeous space was once the home of the Guggenheim family and was a selling point for the couple who wanted a venue with a story.
Having lived all over the world together, Justine and Janan wanted their wedding to be a melting pot of their favorite people and places. They started their wedding weekend by welcoming their guests at a quaint bistro full of natural light and modern art. After a champagne welcome, a traditional Chinese ceremony took place to honor those they cherish followed by a cocktail style dinner. On the wedding day, guests arrived at the decked out estate and celebrated the couple’s nuptials with live music, custom lighting, vintage books from abroad, lush florals and hundreds of candles. The couple and their guests had two after parties that included lounging by the historic fireplaces while sipping coffee cocktails and dancing the night away to music by their acclaimed entertainment team. They ended their wedding weekend with a large wedding brunch and send-off at a nearby boutique hotel.
