A Dream Wedding Weekend planned by Lifestyle Maven Events at Rosewood Mayakoba
My clients S & E came to me in spring of 2023 knowing that they wanted to have a destination wedding but they didn’t know where in the world they wanted to host their celebration.. After getting to know them better and learning more about their preferences and aesthetic, I thought Mexico would be the perfect location for them. After several days of site visits, they settled on Rosewood Mayakoba for their dream wedding. It was here that they celebrated their love with a three-day extravaganza (four if we count the farewell brunch) that left guests enchanted and awe-inspired. Here’s a glimpse into their magical wedding weekend celebration.
Day One: A Poolside Welcome Party at Casa del Lago
The festivities kicked off with a vibrant poolside welcome party at Casa del Lago. As the sun set over the picturesque resort, guests were greeted by the melodic tunes of Argentinean musicians, Astrosonic, setting a joyful and relaxed tone for the evening.
The culinary delights were a highlight, featuring an array of delicious foods that showcased the resort’s commitment to excellence. Signature drinks flowed freely, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. The combination of stunning views, jungle vibes, exquisite flavors, and enchanting music made for an unforgettable start to the wedding celebration. Guests partied until the night enjoying the pool, hot tub and each other’s company.
Lounge sets and florals by Vanessa Jaimes and lighting and rentals by Planner One made it the perfect kickoff to their wedding weekend.
Day Two: Beachside Fiesta at La Cantina
The celebration continued the next day at La Cantina on the beach, where guests were treated to an authentic and lively fiesta. A Yucatecan trio provided the soundtrack for the day, their music perfectly complementing the stunning beach setting.
Grilled lobster, and steak, a highlight of the day’s menu, was prepared to perfection, offering a taste of the local culinary heritage. As night fell, the excitement reached new heights with mesmerizing performances by fire dancers, who lit up the beach with their breathtaking skills. To cap off the festivities, a piñata filled with surprises delighted guests of all ages, adding a playful and nostalgic touch to the celebration.
The long wooden tables were adorned with colorful table runners and vibrant florals. It was truly the perfect rehearsal dinner.
Day Three: The Wedding Day
The wedding day itself was a masterclass in elegance and romance. The ceremony took place on the lagoon, a serene and picturesque setting that provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s vows. Guests were then invited to a cocktail hour in the Jardin Frutal, where they enjoyed refreshing drinks amidst the lush, fragrant gardens while serenaded by a pop saxophonist.
The reception at La Ceiba was a grand affair. A concert-style band set the stage for an evening of dancing and celebration. The ambiance was further enhanced by an abundance of gorgeous flowers and intricate details that created a truly magical atmosphere.
Dinner was a six-course culinary journey, each dish a testament to the skill and creativity of the resort’s chef and my client’s excellent taste. Being part of the multiple tastings for this event was an absolute pleasure.. From delicate appetizers to sumptuous main courses, the meal was a feast for the senses. Every bite was a celebration of flavors, leaving guests both satisfied and impressed.
Late night bites included carajillos, a Mexican coffee cocktail and freshly made churros and freshly made pizza. Nothing like carbs to soak up all the alcohol!

Planning this wedding was so much fun because the couple LOVES COLOR. What made this wedding truly special was that they allowed me and my team to focus on attention to detail and the personalized touches that were evident throughout the celebrations. From the thoughtful arrangement of flowers to the carefully curated vendors, every aspect of the event was tailored to reflect the couple’s unique love story.

Also, Alison was great with answering all of our parents’ questions during the weekend, so we didn’t have to (thank you again for that!) Overall, our experience with Alison was really great.
